Your products, compliant and selling in Switzerland.
Switzerland is a small market with its own rules, its own plug, its own meters and its own fire regulations. That is why good products stall at the border. Voltika Import Services takes an energy storage or generation product from your factory to a Swiss customer's wall: compliance work, import of record, and a retail channel that already exists.
Three problems, one partner
Most manufacturers we speak to have already sold into Germany or the Netherlands and assume Switzerland is an extension of that. It is not: outside the EU, different plug, different meter protocols, a 600 W cap on anything connected to a socket, a mandatory recycling levy, and a grid operator that must be notified per installation.
Compliance
We map your product against Swiss low-voltage, EMC and radio ordinances, review the declaration of conformity and test reports, and identify what is missing. We specify the Swiss configuration — power capping, socket adapter, meter communication — and work with your engineering team until a unit works correctly in a Swiss home.
Import
A Swiss company acts as importer of record. We handle customs clearance, import VAT and the INOBAT battery recycling levy, and we organise pallet freight for goods that cannot travel as ordinary parcels. Swiss customs duty on industrial goods has been zero since 2024, which makes the landed cost more predictable than most exporters expect.
Distribution
Voltika sells to Swiss households and to a network of installers and electricians. Your product enters a channel that is already built: catalogue, French-language technical content, compatibility tooling, and the legal warranty relationship that Swiss law places on the seller rather than the manufacturer.
What we take on
Anything that stores or generates electricity for a home or a small business.
| Residential storage | Plug-in and wall-mounted battery systems, AC and DC coupled |
| Balcony systems | All-in-one micro storage with integrated MPPT |
| Stackable systems | Modular storage from 5 to 30 kWh, single and three phase |
| Power electronics | Hybrid inverters, micro-inverters, smart meters, energy management |
| Generation | Photovoltaic modules, including flexible and balcony formats |
| EV charging | AC chargers integrated with storage |
If your product sits next to these categories, ask anyway. The regulatory work is similar.
From first call to first pallet
Assessment
You send the datasheet, the declaration of conformity and the test reports. We come back with a written gap analysis: what already satisfies Swiss requirements, what has to change, and what it will cost. This step is short and it is where most surprises surface.
Swiss configuration
We define the Swiss variant with your engineers — power limits, plug type, meter protocol, firmware behaviour — and we test physical units in real Swiss homes before anything is ordered in volume. Nothing goes on sale on the strength of a specification sheet alone.
Commercial terms
Distribution agreement, territory, pricing, warranty handling and after-sales responsibilities. Swiss law makes the seller liable to the consumer for two years, so this part is negotiated carefully rather than copied from a European template.
Market entry
Import, INOBAT registration, listing in our catalogue, French technical documentation, and introduction to our installer network. You ship to one address and invoice one company.
A small market that pays well
Roughly nine million people, high household electricity prices, strong solar adoption and a population that buys quality over price. Installed residential storage commonly sells between 600 and 1'200 CHF per kilowatt-hour. Margins reflect the regulatory friction — which is precisely why clearing that friction is worth doing properly.
The barrier is real, and it protects those who cross it.
Tell us about your product
We read every message and reply in English. If a compatibility document or datasheet is ready, mention it and we will ask for it.
